Our version of a Bavarian-style unfiltered lager. Sweet malt, subtle floral hops and a crisp refreshing finish.
Inspired by lazy days by the river Eisbach, this is our flagship beer that will change what you think about lager.

Delt med Rune. Stråfarget. Luftig filmskum. Klar. Eplearoma. Smaken eple & gress. Frisk.

Nothing special. No doubt refreshing on a hot day

Scottish craft brewer (located in Edinburgh apparently) offering this decidedly non-Scottish beer, a German Lager, at Tilquin English Beer Festival. Snow white, thin and open head on a lightly misty pale straw-golden beer. Aroma of freshy cut grass, lemonbalm, old lemon zest, dried spring onions, mugwort, white bread crust, old jute bags, dry hay. Crisp onset, some green apple and unripe pear but utterly restrained in yeast fruitiness (if still some – more so than usual for style), minerally carbonation, cereally and sweetish white bready pale malt core with sharper grainy edges, bittered by a relatively strong, grassy, even somewhat wormwoody, floral hop bitterness, which is something I do no expect in a Helles. If anything, this is a Kellerbier or Landbier for me, even ‘Pilsener’ probably describes it better than Helles – but I cannot deny that it is a well-made Lager of whatever species, very quenching and refined. Quite lovely indeed, if missing the essence of the intended style.
