Juice Machine was originally devised and brewed to support our very first trip to Extreme Beer Festival in 2014. We’ve revived and tweaked the original recipe on a 30 BBL scale and brought new life and experience into the idea of an obscenely hop saturated yet juicy and delicate Double IPA. It is essentially a marriage of the King Julius malt bill with a hopping intensity schedule similar to that of Very Green. The use of Magnum, Columbus, Amarillo, Citra, and Galaxy creates perhaps our most complex drink with unapologetic flavors of tangerine, mango, lime, papaya, and grapefruit with waves of dankness. Hop burp nirvana, indeed.

Canned 9/15/16, drunk 9/16/16.
Strongly soupy body shows a blend of amber, bronze and gold. Well-retained, white head atop is large and fluffy.
The nose reminds me exactly of Very Green (which reminds me more or less exactly of Green). That is to say, very lush, spicy and dank with lots of melon, lime and guava character. Did this side-by-side with the recent King Julius batch and it fared less expressive in the nose, overall, with just a touch of alcohol sharpness coming late. Very "tight" aroma, deep and dank and I don’t doubt this will improve over the next 10 days, give or take. Malts, as always, show light honey, biscuit and are nicely attenuated, adding light juiciness to the already juicy hops.
Bright and very hoppy in the flavor, with tons of the tell-tale Tree House watermelon-like juiciness. Limes, guava and lemon-grapefruit sharpen things slightly, though the body, of course, provides malt softness as the tight carbonation helps ease the hop bitterness, as well. Juicy, for sure, and very enjoyable, but again, can’t help thinking this will get much better in about 7-10 days. Very dry, much higher attenuation than the first EBF batch.

Can thanks to Matt! Pours like cloudy apricot juice, large creamy off white head, great lacing. Aroma is not huge, but a lovely tropical darkness, passionfruit and pot. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter, hella juicy and totally not harsh. Reminds me a lot of king Sue on tap. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Lovely.

Juice machine- Can thanks to Seth. Pours a hazy orange with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong dank, tropical fruit. Medium mouth, so juicy, tropical fruit, danky, nice bitterness, very impressive
