What started life as a beautiful accident born of experimentation, has gone on to become one of our best-loved beers.
Unusual for this style, we brew it with a wheat yeast, but we love the added texture and fruitiness it brings, alongside the rich and roasted flavour from the malts. Carbonated using nitrogen for an extra rich drop.

Cask at the Earl of Essex, Islington, 21/02/13. Extremely dark mahogony brown/light blak with a thin dark tan head that clears to the edge. Nose is roast malt, darl fruits, raisens, plums, paper, light coffee. Taste comrises dark fruits, darl malts, dates, cardboard. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Ok - basic stuff.
