Viking er en økologisk overgæret lys ale på 6% med en moderat bitterhed. Øllen er en hyldest til vikingen fra Fregerslev, der med stor sandsynlighed var jarl eller hærfører. Vikingen blev formentlig gravlagt i år 950. Med sig i graven fik han pilekogger og bue, samt guld og sølvskinnende hesteudstyr. Vi tænker, at han sikkert også fik rigelige mængder mjød med sig på sin rejse til Valhalla. Lad dig drage tilbage i tiden, når du nyder denne klosterøl.

Bottle from garden party, Silkeborg. Hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and light hoppy - grass. Flvor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. 120626

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Honeyish golden/amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is honey, some wood, mild herbs and caramel malts. Flavour is strong caramel malts, some honey and mild toffeeish tones. Smoothly balanced, though bit crisp carbonation to it.

Sample, thanks fonefan! Clearish amber, small head. Aroma of buttery caramel. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded oily mouthfeel. Rather nondescript with some buttery caramel and not much else. Low bitterness.

ABV: 6.0%. Clear medium to light amber yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, straw, pale malt, sweet malt, light yeasty, sour - yeast - fruity - milk - yougurt. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, caramel, sweet malt, malty, light sour malt notes, light to moderate yeasty - sweet yeast, light bread - cookie. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20210418]

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy, deep golden with a rich and lively white head. Sweet fruity and slightly spicy nose. Rich, sweet, malty body - biscuits and toffee. The ingredients list doesn't mention any honey and spices so I assume there's none - although I could've been fooled. Vague late bitterness. 240619

Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, hops, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and spices, leading to a bitter finish.
