On tap at the Royal Standard, Wooburn Common. A darkest mahogany pour with a loose cream head; aroma of burnt grains and licorice; taste of purple fruit, with some toast and licorice in the background; then dry and grainy with a light bitterness and a touch of treacle. Rather good.
