With the introduction of 70+ West Coast IPA (ABV 6.8%), Old Nation brings a classic, straight down the middle pilsner malt bill with a more classic aggressive 72 IBU providing the traditional bitter balance of the style. Using a combination of Columbus and Simcoe hops for their pine/resiny notes along with Amarillo for citrus and floral notes, Old Nation’s brewers added the proprietary Idaho 7 for a new-school tropical twist.

Pint can from Ridgeview Liquor, 8/21/21. Clear gold, large head, good retention. Aroma of dank, onion, resin, a bit of tropical fruit. Taste is resin, dank, melon, pale malt. Moderate bitterness, pretty dry. Decent.

Clear straw body, thick, loose, pillowy cream head. Nose grass, pine, citrus, and curry spices. Body relatively dry, tangy, with pine, herbs, pungent curry spices, and copper on a well-attenuated malt backdrop. Solid, middle-of-the-road IPA.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clearish gold with a full two fingers of white, fluffy foam. Dank aromas with pine, orange and pith on the nose. Palate is similar with a drying, pithy finish. Not bad, but not overly complex.
