Sampled from 0.33 l bottle from 'Holy Craft Beer Store', best before April 2018. Clear, dark brownish amber with an off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly smoky aroma of caramel, nuts and some smoked ham. Moderately sweet, malty, slightly smoky taste of smoked ham, caramel and some nuts, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly smoky finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, ruby to brown colour with a beige and firm mid-sized foamy head. Slightly ashy malty aroma with present notes of smoke, accompanied by hints of caramel, burnt wood and red berries. Mildly sweet and delicately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Mildly smokey malt character with caramel, hints of ashtray, burnt wood and slightly fruity accents; moderately sweet and cautious bitter hoppy finish with ashy and smoky notes. Okay, stylewise no revelation. 20.II.18

Fläschken: Deep chestnut-amber coloured, hazy, quickly collapsing loose off-white head; mild but distinctive wood-fire aromas in the sweetish-caramelly nose, very faint herbal bitterness underneath; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, nearly medium bodied; lingering sweet dark-malty and herbal-bitter finish with delicate traces of smoke. Nothing wrong with it...
