(473ml can from Luc, thanks!) Pours basically black with a decent sized latte-coloured head and spotty lace. Aroma is dominated by maple pecan, quite sweet and nutty, undertones of brown sugar and creamy coconut, earthy nutty roast and chocolate blend into the pecan vibes a bit. Flavour is rather sweet up front with a hint of roast acidity in the middle, again maple pecan is the dominant vibe, dries a bunch by mid-sip though with coconut and vanilla creaminess peaking through a bit. Finish is rather dry, nutty roast and pecans with a little unsweetened cacao and some dustiness. Mouthfeel is light and a bit watery with fairly soft carbonation, it does not drink above its ABV. For a 'light' pastry stout suitable for a non-boozy lunch this is a nice brew, even if the maple is pretty dominant. I prefer my pastry on the richer side but this is good.
