On tap at Rittmayer keller Kreuzberg. Amber colour lasting white head. Quite sweet. I mean a 6.8.% beer for €3.50 is amazing. Boozy. Dried fruits. Sweet dried sprouts and plums yes like yellow plums. Sweet. Some hops on the finish g8ve a dryness. Fig. Its both wonderful in that this would get you drunk quickly and cheaply. Like a box of dessert fruits. Rich. Its good though. Interesting. I liked the fruits tangerine, citrus crystallised fruits. Light grapefruit. Never too malty. Its a heller bock. Good fun. A bit of a sipper in a world of kellerbier

Op tap bij Rittmayer Keller am Kreuzberg. Minste van de 3 kellers wat mij betreft. Uit Stein. Zoet, moutig, fruitig, beetje simpel en aan de zoete kant. Lichte body. Geen topper.

Flaska från Bierothek. Disig honungsfärgad vätska med medelhögt krämigt skum. Söta gyllene smaker, söt malt, honung, nektar. Stor kropp, mjuka harmoniska smaker, distinkt kryddig beska. En riktigt bra bock. Mycket gott

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy, orangey amber with a lacing, white head. Fresh flowery nose. Rich, malty sweet body - again with very fresh floral notes. Some finishing bitterness to keep things in balance. Excellent strong Lager. 230624

Bottle from Raynville Superstore. It pours clear copper with a dissipating white head. The aroma is quite sweet, intoxicating, sticky, sappy, oily, plenty of dried fruits, honeyed dates & figs, fruit cake, plum, black grape, bready malt, sponge cake, honey cake and some nuttiness. The taste is slick, oily, sappy, resinous, boozy heat, varnished wood, plenty of dried fruits, date, prune, dried fig, toasted fruit cake, candy, honey, touch of orange marmalade, touch of bitter toffee, leafy and herbal accents with a slick, oily finish. Pretty fulsome body and fine, prickly carbonation. Fairly heavy duty & sweet for the style, but had some nice depth of flavour. Decent.

Deep gold with an orange hue. Aroma of mixed grains with a touch of spice reminiscent of Christmas spice. Something like sweetened white bread too. Taste is mildly bitter with a touch of lingering spice. Mild carbonation. Lacks the complexity to keep up with the better beers of the style. Drinkable.

500ml bottle bought from the Offie, Leicester and drunk at home. Mid- to dark amber gold and clear with an uneven ring of white head. Malty aroma, some chewy caramel, light notes of honey. Taste is sweet just at first but there are intense hops bittering the taste pretty much straight away leading to a balanced finish. Light syrupy notes in the finish with a hint of astringency. Medium to heavy carbonation on the oily body. Pretty decent if incredibly straightforward.

Bottle online from Raynville Superstore. Pours a hazy light orange colour with a medium sized creamy white head. Aromas of toasty brown bread, caramel, honey, a touch herbal and hints of leather. Taste is more toasty brown bread, caramel, honey, herbal, a little spice and more notes of leather, some brown sugar and also molasses on the sweet finish. A touch of warming alcohol. Fullish body, low carbonation and smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Not bad at first but becomes very cloying by the end of the glass. Ok but won’t seek out again.
