With somewhere around 16% ABV this raspberry melomel packs a punch. Don't blame me, blame the (over)enthusiastic M-05 yeast. First experiment with decent yeast and yeast nutrients, which obviously worked well in terms of sugar conversion into alcohol. With 100g of raspberry per litre of mead, this came out as pretty pink. The end result is not overly sweet, with a slight sting from the raspberries.

Pours flat, peachy pink. Nice thickness in the glass. Smell has some alcohol, honey, light raspberry. Tastes raspberry first, followed by honey and lingering dryness. Somewhat sharp, but nothing major. Little bit thin and one-dimensional, but decent one!
