Einst gebraut für die Kolonien in Indien und mit viiiel Hopfen für den langen Seeweg aus England haltbar gemacht, ist das India Pale Ale in Münster angekommen. Wer, wenn nicht der Hafen Elefant, wuchtig und elegant zugleich, wäre ein besserer Botschafter?! Läuft.

From tap at Finne, Münster. Bit of an old school C-hop profile with orange, malt, hint of caramel, light pine, hint of berries. Moderate bitter, lightly sweetish. Body is medium. A bit restrained.

Bottle. Opaque orange sporting a proper white head. Aroma of mangos, passion fruits and malts. Taste of caramel, mangos, oranges, passion fruits, some pine and resin. Moderate bitterness. Medium carbonation. Ok but for some unspecified reason I’m not completely convinced.

ABV: 6.6%. Clear medium orange yellow colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate hoppy, flowers, grass, citrus, dusty. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light heavy bitter with a long duration, flowers, dusty hops, floral, pale malt, sweet malt, rich. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20191005]
