Bottle. It's a lightly foggy amber colored beer with a small off-white head. The aroma is both oak smoked and peated, with a touch of booze. Some dried fruits too. Smoked ham, toffee hints and a wee touch of banana. It's full-bodied, surprisingly warming and semi-dry on the palate, with a carbonation that feels a bit rough. The flavor too is as expected on the smoked, peated side, with the regular oak smoke flavors feeling dominant in the end. A bit surprising, as there doesn't seem to have been any German smoked malt involved. Ham, toffee, generic dried fruits, peat, ashtray notes and a faint touch of grass and hay. Lasting finish. I definitely prefer a German style smoked beer over a peated one, but this wasn't bad at all. A bit boozy though, which should be from the barrel aging I reckon. 211002

330ml bottle, #378, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Shared with Finn. Next-to-clear amber body, low white head, scattered lacing. Solid peaty nose, inviting. Peat and fruit to the taste bods, fine balanced. Peaty ending, mid-dry. Good match with our salmon and egg dish. Repeatable. (Tromsø 15.05.2021)

Gyldenbrun. Middels høyt luftig skum som daler sakte. Klar. Sterk røykaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken røkt torv. Kanskje litt spekeskinke som nesten blir borte i røyken. Tørr. Framstår mer som et røykøl enn en lager. Litt uvariert. Litt uklar i siste kvelling.
