A little stout for a 'Trooper... ? Not a bit of it. This robust, strong, rich and aromatic beer is velvet black in colour with vanilla and coffee notes, from the unique blend of carefully roasted malts. Resulting in a smooth and creamy chocolate flavour, together with a satisfyingly bittersweet aftertaste.

--Keg at Humle Humle, Stockholm. -- Near black, small head. Aroma of chocolate cake. Mid sweet with above medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Treacle, licorice and chocolate cake. Low bitterness.

17/9/2022. Can at the Malilla GP beer share. Bought direct from the Brewery. Pours clear almost black with a small bubbly frothy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark fruits, ash, chocolate, coffee, blackberry. Moderate sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, slightly creamy, average to soft carbonation. Nicely done.

330ml can from School of Animals, Kuala Lumpur. Poured almost black in colour with short-lived, frothy light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, light coffee. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter, with a smooth, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. I really didn’t get any of the promised vanilla. I decent old skool stout, but I fear it won’t be winning too many awards.
