Bottle in Riu Pravets - picked up at Nosferatu in Sofia. Pours perfectly clear honey-gold with a lasting, foamy white head. Great beer, really nails the style. Fairly sweet but not cloying, with nice biscuity malts, touches of honey, pale grains, a hint of bitter straw. Medium bodied with massaging carbonation. Moderately sweet on the finish, lightly warming, further dry biscuits, hay, just a nip of residual sugar. Impressive.

On tap at Kanaal, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out toasted bread, with light metallic notes, and toasted nuts. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted bready notes, toasted nuts, and metallic notes. Dry and nutty, and nicely balanced. Solid.
