Just like a blood moon, a beer this unique only occurs once every few years. This dark and malty sour ale has been aged 2 years with fresh raspberries and our unique sour culture. What makes our sour beer special? We opened our doors in 1994 and have had a small barrel program since 1996. We use our own unique house strains of lactobacillus and brettanomyces in every sour we produce.

473mL can, pours a deep dark red with a tiny white head. Aroma is pleasant, with gentle raspberries, plenty of must, and a bit of barnyard. Flavour is interesting, with lots of musty barnyard funk, plenty of soft brett, horse blanket, and deep raspberries. Not an authentic lambic by any means, but I must say I'm impressed by the brett, funk, and raspberry cohesion and completely. Very low acidity, with a soft, musty, barnyardy finish. Surprisingly good.

Nice deep brown body and good foam. Smells of really good tart floral yeast, soft raspberry and cocoa hints. Taste is a nice tart meld of fruit and cocoa, raspberry notes. Lingering tartness works in all the right ways. Working very well.
