Vitis Riparia (2020) est un assemblage de bières sauvages barriquées avec raisins Vitis Riparia cueillis sur la rue Saint-Patrick à proximité de chez Messorem et équeutés à la main. L'année de production est inscrite dans le titre de ce produit car elle sera produite qu'une seule fois par année.
Vitis Riparia s'apparente légèrement à un vin orange par la macération péliculaire du raisin.
Sa prise de mousse en bouteille est produite par le Miel provenant des ruches de toitures d'entreprises Montréalaises. Un programme signé MIEL MTL. Le miel provient de la toute dernière récolte de l'automne dernier.

Cloud blond colour with pink hue. Nice aroma, funk and grapes (7.5). Dry and sour, aggressive, some grapes character and funky yeast.
It's ok, but very modest complexity.

750ml from the release (thx, Alex M.-G. for proxying and Max C. for bringing it to BC) on Phill's deck. Appearance: hazy golden with a white head. Aroma: a bit weird spices and 🍇 notes, some barrel. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: not sure why other people got crazy about it, it's ok and nothing more IMO.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy bright orange with a small white head. Nose reveals a subtle, complex array of wild yeasts, fresh peaches / stone fruit, gentle oak, and rustic saison notes. Flavour is tart and lightly acidic, with tart stone fruits, vinous notes, wild yeast, and oak barrels. Complex, wild, vinous and oaky, with a wonderfully well-integrated array of flavours. Excellent.
