50 cL bottle as Falcon Julöl. Pours dark brown with a small light tan head. Roasted breadish malt aroma. Smooth caramel and breadish malt flavour for basis and with nice hops bitterness to counterbalance this. Lasting malty and bitterhops impression into the finish.

330ml bottle. Cool xmas logo. Clear mahogany body with a low-level head. Poor in aroma - only lightly hints of sweet malts. The flavour brings notes of roasted malts added by a touch of sweet dark berries. Short tail and a bit too sweet (Linköping, 25.01.2008).

First rating(50 cl bottle from Swedish Systembolaget) Sour malty scent. Dark brown color, tan head. Some grainy smell as well. A bit spritzy mouthfeel. Malty sweet and a bit alcohol taste. Low bitterness. Pretty much no hop bitterness. Dry astringent malt bitter taste.4/2/4/2/8=1.8Second rating(33 cl bottle BB24 June 2004)Thin roasted and vinous scent, smells wrong. Clear red brown color, small tan head. Malty chocolate, metal and an odd raissin taste. Thin mouthfeel. Sweet and old. Didn’t store very well...3/3/3/2/5=1.6

Bottled (BB 07/2006)
Quite dark copper brown, decent brownish head. Honey and roasted malts in the nose. Caramelly, malty, but with a bit palate.Typical clean Christmas vienna, goes with food I suppose.

Bottled. Dark amber coloured, with off-white head. Aroma hayish strawy. Flavour is sugary and malty. A bit hayish notes to it also. Palate becomes sticky in the finish. Also hints of sweet malts in the aftertaste. Ok brew, though I would enjoy more Christmassy hints in it...

A deep red-brown beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet strawy, while the flavor is sweet with light notes of metal, caramel, and acid, leading to a dry slightly hoppy end. I find it somewhat like a malt drink.

(Bottle 33 cl) Dark amber with a thick and handsome head. Very malty with notes of caramel and a very subdued bitterness - the sweetness is much more present, but it never gets cloying. 201201

Bottled. Dark brown, small vanishing head. Sweet clean, hard mouthfeel. Lightly roasty with no malt flavours and low bitterness. There’s nothing enjoyable in this bottle...

Brown color, generous head. Light malt aroma and caramel. Less sweet than many other Julöl, some malt and caramel; ordinary palate, still with some caramel.
