No one believed in it, but it’s here to prove them wrong ! Our surprising ale is made with Brussels Sprouts, delivering a soft bitterness and a complex roundness.

Explosive gushing to a glass full of yellow foam, finally giving way to some golden-copper beer. Sweet, amber malts, cookies, sugar, ureum and caramel. Sweet, faint sulphur, sugar, again a lot of malts. Quite slick, medium bodied, sticky. Why is it gushing? Why so much sugar? Let me guess - to cover any H²S from to sowieso unpalatable sprouts. The same tricks chefs use, 'caramelizing'. Not a beer, but a gimmick. Txs to Stef for bringing!

33cl bottle from Le Comptoir Belge in Brussels. F: big, off-white, good retention. C: dark gold, hazy. A: malty, sweet fruity, peach, bit caramel, light hoppy tones, bit yeasty. T: medium malty base, fruity, dough, bit yeasty, decent grassy bitterness, I don’t feel vegetables in, medium carbonation, ok, drinkable, enjoyed.
