Cask handpull at Folkestone Wetherspoons. Deep chestnut/ruby colour. Thin tight tan head. Treacle nose with good hop earthy. Full in mouth and quite smooth with tangy citrus finish. Malts fade quite quickly dark fruits on nose, blackberries. Quite nice

Bottled

Brown, smooth; malty, nutty, not so fruity, dry toasty notes...a little thin and I miss the Cainโ€™s yeast notes.

Pleasant drinkable beer, with a smooth palate and a quality slight coffee after taste. Altogether a smooth, smooth beer.
