This stout is a winter warmer. Built on a base of rich malt flavors, Chocol'ha subtly blends lavish Guatemalan chocolate nibs (prepared by Thea's Chocolate) with hints of cinnamon and a bit of heat from four selected chilies.

[ As Anagram Chocol'ha ].
ABV: 9.0%. Clear dark brown colour with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark malt, spicy, rosen pepper, cocoa, cinnamon, light lactose, light chili - vegetal chili. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light acidic with a long duration, rosen pepper, spicy, chocolate, cocoa, dark malt, chili warm, cinnamon. IMO: Quit unbalanced. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20210215]

Opaque black, mocha head. The aroma is quite sweet - sweet chocolate and treacle, some juicy berries (black currants?), vegetal chili notes. The taste follows the aroma - sweet chocolate / chocolate syrup, lactose?, vegetal bitterness and moderate chili heat. Not bad, but too sweet - and the sweetness is simplistic lactose, and the peppers seem to leave too much of their green matter in the taste.
