Unusual name, unusual beer! The “Waggle Dance” is the movement a bee performs to alert the hive to a source of nectar. The Waggle Dance beer is a beautifully balanced, sneakily seductive, golden coloured beer. it is popular both as a cask ale (Alc. 4.0% Vol.) and in 500ml bottle (Alc. 5.0% Vol.) across a wide range of beer lovers both male and female and of all (legal) drinking ages.

A bit unusual and ok golden ale. Clear orange golden color with an ok white head. Medium body and an average carbonation. Fruity, malty, some honey and herbal. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness.

500ml bottle - Golden amber with a soft white head. Faint aroma of honey, refreshing on the palate with a balance of sweetness from the honey and bitterness from the hops. Not as honeyed as some I’ve had, especially as the honey is the main selling point on this.

Cask at the Castle, Bedford. Very light gold with a smattering of white head. Smells of honey, metal, PVC. Tastes somewhat sweet and very uninteresting. Weak palette. You know what? I don’t need this shit. Mediocre fucking beer. I’m going through some serious shit in my life, an awful breakup, I’m depressed as a fuck lacquered in fuck sauce, all I need is a half-decent beer. And I’m drinking mediocre beer. That’s a big fuck you from the brewer to me. Charles Wells or Wells and Young’s or whatever the fuck, sort your shit out.

Cask at the King’s Arms in Oxford. From old notes. A well-rated beer in a very famous pub, but it was quite horrible. Light brown, very bland. Not much in the way or either malt or hops, but a bit of honey. Extremely uninteresting. Probably in poor condition.

Bottle @ the Bedford Arms, Bedford. A slightly hazy and heavily carbonated mid gold. Aroma of honey, silverware and PVC. Taste is a bland bittersweet mess. The bubbles are nice, I can pretend I’m a fish. Inoffensive but pointless ’honey ale’. Some beers have thrived under the Wells & Youngs merger. Some have not. This has not.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch fruchtig malzig, Honig, hopfig. Geschmack hopfig malzig, fruchtig, Honigaromen.
