Bottle from Co-operative Supermarket, Hebden Bridge, called Premier Select. Clear slightly deeper golden colour with a carbonation and a very thin head. Has a decent pilsner nose with the strength of the beer evident here, and certainly in its taste, however the pilsner flavour is still flavoursome. Has a light sweetness running through it.

Bottle split with Sarah in the hotel. Picked up at gallerie pivo. Bright golden coloured pour with a big lasting frothy white head. Aroma is grainy, nutty, hint of alcohol and sweet malts. Flavour is composed of sweet pils malts, little apple, touch of caramel. All round its pretty clean and does what it says on the tin. Palate is semi sweet, lowish caebonation. Palate is a bit flabby.

(Draught at Prvni Pivni Tramway, Prague, 18 July 2014) Golden colour with creamy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of bread, tropical fruit, pineapple and peaches. Malty, fruity taste with tropical fruit, pineapple, bready malt and a balanced grassy bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain malt sweetness. A bit sweet and strong, but tasty enough. Quite nice.

As a Bud Strong. 330ml Bottle. No piwo ladnie wyglada zloto jasno bursztynowe z babelkami i z sniezna i biala piana, niestety niezbyt trwala. Zapach pomaranczy oraz cydru jakby. Nieco brzoskwiniowego musu. W smaku konkretnie slodowe i slodkawe z niewielkim zaznaczeniem chmielu zateckiego w oddali.

Green 0.33 litre bottle, labelled ’Premium Select’ for the UK market: BBD 2 Oct 14, drank at home on 18 Jun 14. Good dark old gold colour with no head at all. Fairly sweet malty nose and taste, with the alcohol in evidence from the first sip. I was thirsty, so enjoyed it, but it is not a great lager, strong or otherwise. Just a bog standard strong lager that cost a lot more than the cheap equally poor options available all over the world.

Bottle, 0.33l. Clear deep golden color with medium frothy white head, fair lacing and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of grassy hops, toasted malt, sugar and alcohol. Taste starts with sweet and rich malt, follows by grainy sourness with strong alcohol note, warming mouthfeel and moderate bitter finish. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate.
