This was poured into a mug.
The appearance was a golden yellow transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. A cap of a white head sustains and dissipates at a nice pace. Thin mild lace.
The aroma takes in sweet biscuity/bready thick maltiness flowing into semi-sweet to underscored grassy bitter hops. Light honey and floral.
The flavor revels in the balance of it all. Nice sweet smooth malty biscuit aftertaste. Sly semi-sticky finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a great sessionability about it . Low carbonation helps bring about smooth sweetness.
Overall, why argue with the Germans about if this is any good or not. For the style, one knows it’s top notch.

Bottle. Clear, deep golden color with a thick bubbly head. Nose is candy caramel, corn, light hops. Sweet and a bit cloying flavor with a touch of caramel and what seems like Munich malts. Uninteresting.

Bottle pour into shaker pint glass from Downtown Discount Beverage. Aroma is noble hops, champagne-like yeast, and bready malt. Appearance is clear golden yellow with nice sparkle, 1/2 finger-width foamy white head with poor retention and light lacing. Taste is lightly sweet fruit with noble hop bitter 2nd half. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with sticky texture, lively carbonation and light bitter finish. Overall, it’s fine but doesn’t have a lot of heft to it.

Six pack gift. I’m not an Oktoberfest fan but I enjoyed these beers. Clean, crisp malty marzen flavor. Clear light gold color.
