Hopfensau - So nannten wir zur Zeit der Handernte die glückliche Erntehelferin, die die letzte Hopfenranke abpflückte. Heute heißt so unser Jahrgangssud, den wir mit den Dolden der letzten Hopfenranke gebraut haben. Sowohl damals wie heute ist dieser Titel eine Auszeichnung der besonderen Art.

Pous a cloudy reddish brown color with off-white bubbles. Aroma of caramel, spice and toast. Pretty full bodied and a little dry.

Dunkler hopfiger Beginn, weich, erstaunlich wenig herb. Mild röstig, deutliche Noten von Schokolade und Rosinen. Der Alkohol bleibt im Hintergrund, ist aber erkennbar, geringe Süße, ab dem späten Mittelteil einen Hauch bitter. Cremig, zum Ende drückend, vollmundig malzig. Langer hopfig-malziger Nachhall. 9/11/11/11/14/11

50cl bottle. 2020er Version. A dark amber beer with a off white head. Aroma of dark caramelized malt, raisins, pine needles. Taste pine needles, dark caramelized malt, resinous bitter finish.

2017 bottle. Deep dark amber color with off-white head. Aroma is raisins, chocolate, grassy hops, a bit piney, caramel. Taste is fruity hops, grassy, raisins, cereals, caramel, a touch chocolate. Oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Can take the age surprisingly well, it's really tasty!
