It pours a hazy pale yellow color with a small white head. Aroma is lightly grassy grainy and quite acidic. Notes of citrus, white grapes, hay and yeast. Taste is light grainy, light sweet, medium acidic with notes of melon, citrus peel, hay and grass. Light body with lively carbonation. Overall, really tasty and refreshing.

Keg at Duke’s as ’Belgian Pale’. Wheat yellow, cloudy. Scent of elderflower and sour lemon drops. The taste is bittersweet with a notable amount of hard citrus sour. Medium to long finish. Not what I was expecting, and not the most complex or exciting beer I’ve had, but I enjoyed it.

Craft Clerkenwell. Keg. As ’Ahtanum Belgian Bier’. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and crispy. Mild malt, touch of sweetness. Light candy fruits and mildly spicy yeast. Good orangey hops, little tangerine and a touch of lemon. Yeast turns slightly sweeter before a light finish. Not bad.

Keg at the brewery, 06/09/14. Hazed orange amber with a white covering that stays for the show. Nose is bready, light spice, orange, malty notes, tangy citrics, yeast esters, grain. Taste comprises yeast, clove, light citric notes, straw, bitter orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok Belgo but not really setting my world alight.

Bottle at the brewery with Harry. Hazy gold. Lasting ivory head. Hoppy finish. Not hugely Belgian. Some peach esters. Fine.
