Continuing our range of pudding/pastry stouts our Banoffee is a take on the famous dessert created in Sussex almost 60 years ago and still going strong! Six speciality malts, Goldings and Fuggles hops, roasted cocoa nibs, banana and toffee flavourings and a smidge of salt, amalgamate to produce a full-bodied white milk stoit. We’ll forget the food pairings for this one!

13/8/2022. Can from Craft Metropolis, Penge, split at the Cardiff GP beer share. Pours clear pale amber bronze with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma of toffee, mashed banana, stewed fruits, nail varnish. Fairly heavy sweetness and low bitterness with a tart edge. Medium body, creamy/sticky, soft carbonation. Slightly odd bittersweet tang to finish. not my favourite of theirs.

440ml can from Hoppily. Poured a very slightly hazy medium amber colour with a short-lived, frothy white head. The aroma is big banana. No surprises there. The flavour is over moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, toffee, banana, lactose palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not overly sweet, but not one for a session.

Can from Stamford beers direct. Blindfolded this would certainly be a pastry stout. But. Amber colour. Aroma and taste have banana toffee and roasted malty. Slight coffee. Medium body.

Can thanks to Stuu666. Appearance - copper to orange. Creamy white head. Nose - banana and praline. Taste - caramel and banana. Edge of praline again. Palate - creamy in texture. Medium bodied rich and lightly roasty finish. Overall -

can at James... golden amber... thin white... soft artificial woody banana... soft sweet caramel toffee malts. Light banana toffee malts.. wow only 5.5

Can thanks to Stuu666. Pours clear golden with a thick off-white head. Aromas of banana, coffee, chocolate, toffee. Taste is sweet, banoffee for sure. Does what it says on the tin.

Can at James's. Pours clear amber, nose is banana, caramel, toffee, vanilla, taste is similar, quite sweet.
