A strong Porter brewed with Beechwood smoked malt. Full bodied, with a semi-sweet profile of earthy dark chocolate and subtle smoky vanilla notes.

Taster from tap at the brewpub. Almost black color, very small head. Smells bit smoky, light caramel, toffee, light bacon, some light chocolate notes. Nice smell. Full body, soft carbonation. Tastes smoky, light bacon, toffee, peppery, spices, bit herbal earthy, rye bread, light lactose (?). Finishes dry and lightly roasty with notes of earthy, peppery and some rye bread notes. Subtle yet still a lot going on here. Not totally convinced at first by the balance, but it grew on me, could use a bit more smoke in my books, but still a good one 7,4,7, 3,13
