Look, we're sorry. Honestly. We made this IRS and liked the flavor so much that we didn't end up adding any marshmallows, maple syrup, toasted nuts, cocoa nibs or even a kiss of single origin coffee from a small farm out of Brazil. We love throwing the kitchen sink into a brew as much as anyone else, but every once in a while it's nice to sit back and appreciate what the four ingredients can do together. Made with only 3 English malts from Simpsons Maltings: Maris Otter, Caramel Malt and Chocolate Malt, some Columbus hops for bittering and some neutral California Ale yeast. The result: big and chewy body, with dark cocoa and toffee-like flavors popping through. Bitterness is medium-high with a pleasant linger in the finish.

Keg at 73 Enid Street, 29/05/19. Pitch black with a big ole lasting dirty tan head ... a solid looker. Nose is bitter roast, dark chocolate, spice, dried fruits. Taste comprises dark chocolate, burnt toffee black peppery spice, charr, earthy fruits, ashen tones. Full bodied, fine carbonation, drying close spiked with balanced warming alcohol. Decent old skool impy.

0,05l from tap at MBCC yellow. black color, small coffee colored head. smells of vanilla, earthy, peppery, bit rubbery, decent smell. full body, soft carboantion, slick mouthfeel. tastes of rubber, earthy, spices, peppery, vanilla. finishes dry and lightly roasty bitter with notes of rubber, vanilla and peppery notes. not my kind of thing 6, 4, 6, 3, 13
