On tap at the brewpub. Pours brown to dark brown with beige head. Bit roasty, some fruity notes and lots of spices. Ginger, cinnamon and whatnot. Really unusual at first, but quite good when you get used to it. Interesting brew.

Jan. ’16. On tap at the brewpub. It poured hazy darker caramel body with a small ivory head atop. Beautiful and pungent spicy aroma, cinnamon, lavender, ginger. Flavor was cinnamon dominated with strong plum jam base, which was especially prominent in the finish. Highly carbonated but quite thin for the style anyway with short finish unfortunately, leaving even thinner impression. Reminded me a bit to the Glühbier with that strong cinnamon and generally spicy character.

at the brewpub, had two. first one at the beginning of the night, second one at the end (shared by a friend). the first beer was quite bad, it seems we got the leftovers in the pipes from last day. secend one was good though.
RERATE (2nd try) look is the same (see below) . smells of ginger, rosmarin, spices, herbs, peppery, nice & unique smell this time. would have given an 8 if the first experience was better. medium to full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of ginger, rosmarin, light cinnamon, christmas spices, light alcohol, some pepper & other herbs. long finish of rosmarin and ginger a bit dry but nicely balanced. very nice beer, it really surprised me how this can be so much different from the first try. it shouldnt be too much to ask for to keep the f**king lines clean.
the first rate: 0,4l from tap shared by gf. copper hazy, small tan head. smells rather unclean, vegetables, spices, rather strong off-smells. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. same as smell, tastes of spices, peppery, some vegetables again. finishes dry and peppery with some spices. not good, might rerate, if i get the chance though. 4/4/4/2/8 -> 2.2
