On tap @Bir&Fud (Rome). Pours deep golden with a medium white head. Aroma is malty, biscuits, honey, light hops. Flavour is well balanced but a bit boring. Medium body, medium carbonation. So so...

(draught at the brewpub) Hazy, dark amber colour with a small tanned foamy head. Slightly sweet, roast-malty and slightly ashy nose with a touch of burnt grains. Quite bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Roasty grainy taste with notes of caramel, dry and quite slim roasty finish with a burnt and hoppy bitterness. Unexciting but still pretty drinkable. 09.II.08

Gravity tap at redlight. Hazy copper color with a good foamy head. Spicy hops, hinted at funky sulfur and grass. Saaz? Nice rounded toasty malts and balanced hop at the finish. Clean, balanced, very easy drinking.

Bottle at the Bruxellensis Festival 2006, Brussels, Belgium
Hazy, amber to orange body. Off-white, creamy, fully lasting head. The head looks like pancake batter. Good lace. Aroma of fresh hops, oranges, vanilla. Moderately bitter flavour. A little bit flat.

Draught Slightly orangey-shaded hazy amber beer with a huge, just off-white collar. Very malty, dark malts, even smokey aromas. Soft-bitterish lined, malty main taste, melanoidins seem just for impression. Touch of bitter chocolate all the same. Light body, just below the "smooth" treshold. If beer is dinner and drink, this is Lenten dinner. Light, but technically straight. Like it.
