In our continued exploration of Farmstead® ales within various contexts and processes, we present a new beer: a lively, delicately tart, oak-aged ale with a malt bill comprised of 90% wheat and 10% barley, and hopped exclusively with hand-selected Hallertauer Blanc hops from Seitz Farm—our agricultural partner in Wolnzach, Germany. Bottle conditioning since early 2018, we have closely monitored its progress, anticipating its optimistic arc of development.⁣

2022 bottle at WFG. Opaque golden with a white head. Sweet and acidic/funky, citric, zesty and vineous, softly sweet and grainy, incredibly, incredibly puffy. Lovely saison.

750ml (thx, Alex M.-G. for proxying!) @ Matt's house. Bottled in 2022. Appearance: almost clear pale golden with a white head. Aroma: nice farmhouse notes, some oak, crispy. Taste: along the same lines, very sophisticated and nicely balanced. Overall: good one.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Hazy blonde gold with small white head. Saison yeast, gentle tartness, feint oak, enjoyable.

750mL bottle, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is fairly laid back and subtle, with a nice rustic saison yeast, gentle wild bugs, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is fairly gentle but super clean, with rustic saison yeast, a hint of bugs, gentle tartness, and crisp biscuity malt. Rustic, grainy, lightly mineraly, and subtly tart. Very competently done, but an elite saison? Nah. It's excellent though.
