Thanks for sharing the bottle Micah! Pours a fairly clear copper with a modest off-white head that lasts throughout. Lots of caramel and toffee notes on the nose with some apricot and muscat as well. Taste is fairly similar. Not very complex but the fruit character and malt is nice. Very light and refreshing with good carbonation. Slightly sweet and fruity dry finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of St. ERHARD Saison on 12 Sep 2015 at 18:26 - Score: 6

(bottle, 33cl) Slightly hazy, copper colour with a beige and firm foamy head. Sugary malty aroma with molasses, caramel, candied fruits and a touch of yeasty spice. Sweet and delicately bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft, if not a bit tame carbonation. Robust malt character with loads of caramel and molasses; rather shy hoppy accents show up towards the sweet and a bit sugary finish. 12.V.15

Klarglasbuddel: Amber, hazy, small off-white head; sweetish caramelly-fruity nose, some mineralic or herbal hops in the background; moderate sweetish flavour, sticky MF, but nevertheless light bodied;short sweetish caramelly finish, good hops hardly detectable. No saison…No pleasure…

330 special design bottle kindly shared by djoeye. Two-finger thick pearl white head, fine retention and with fair lacing. Hazy apricot coloured body. Smell of dough and caramel. Mixed taste of dried fruits, forest, and brown malts. Malt-fruity end. Well bodied. Pleasing (Tromsø 27.07.2015).

Bottle. Cloudy orange brown, low head. Slightly funky, leathery and earthy aroma. Medium light body, dry minerally mouthfeel, herbal and grassy hops. Earthy and leathery aftertaste. Very different from the usual modern saison interpretations out there and far more rustic.

Bottle looks very simple but okay. Beer in the glass brownish, small head. Starts mild, malty, light roasty. Some nutty notes. Mild sourish. Well balanced finish with spicy notes. Not bad!

Clear but dense deep amber colour, small frothy beige head, recedes quickly, light lacing. Sweet malty aroma, caramel, toffee, bit banana, cinnamon, vanilla. Taste medium sweet, light bitter, roasted malt, caramel. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, aftertaste sweet, roasted malt, dry bitter notes; definitely not a Saison, not very special...
