Intensiver, cremig malziger Beginn. Komplexe Noten von Vanille, minimale Herbe, viel Holz. Weich, viel Malz, vollmundig, trotz des Alkoholgehalts nicht spritig. Honig, weiche Holznoten, langer Nachgeschmack. Gut! 10/13/12/12/14/12

330ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, dark beige head. Intense, malty and woody, minimally nutty aroma, notes of caramel, vanilla, Bourbon, oak, hints of coconut, whiffs of liquorice; later vinous fruity overtones with hints of marsala, sherry, port. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty, tart-ish, tannic woody, vinous fruity, notes of oak, cark caramel, dark berries, dried berries, hints of marsala, sherry, port, plum butter. Oily texture, smooth and soft, silky, slightly cloying palate, fine, soft to flat, still efficacious carbonation. Rich and complex, harmonious and balanced, dangerously drinkable - great!

brown colour, minimal off-white lacing; aroma and taste of dark chocolate, or rather cherry bonbon made with dark chocolate, port wine, coconut, dates and dried figs, walnut liqueur, some vanilla and syrupy sweetness in the taste; great one

Bottle. Dark brown, almost black, smaller beige head, nonlasting. Dessert nose with chocolate, lots of coconut, some roasted notes, a bit of alcohol and vanilla. Starts sweet, mostly dry fruits (figs). Medium bitterness, slightly roasted going into aftertaste, taken over by berries. Fuller, silky body, quite warming, not burning. Great sipper.

Pours viscously to little or no head over muddy brown beer. Sweet, boozy, Bourbon, vanilla, raisins, double cream-sugared, cocos. Very lightly sourish, vinous, vanilla, banana. There is a light if certain bitterness, that is more spicy than hoppy. Fiery alcoholheat, even -thinning, but yet chewy and certainly oily. Medium carbonation. Certainly OK beer, but not quite what I expected.
