Leif Erikson, Jacques Cousteau, Steve Zissou, Jack Sparrow. All masters of the sea, but none faced waters like this extraordinary dark lager.
As mysterious as the ocean, this beer always leaves more to be discovered (start by trying to read the can). Using Midnight wheat and hopping with Cascade and Fuggles, it is a beer that is dark but clear, complex yet easy drinking. An enigma waiting to be solved. It blends and bends traditional characteristics like the tides ebbing and flowing.

Weak watery molasses body and bad foam. Soft biscuit aroma, slight brown sugar. Taste is more brown sugar, slight biscuit, is that lingering tin? Highly middling, and I say that with regret.
