Smooth and roasty stout pumped up with loads of chocolate, flaked oats, and a cold addition of Zekes coffee.

Draft at Smoke and Barrel. Black color, brown head. Huge earthy coffee aroma. Nice bitter coffee taste, good body for a coffee beer. Good stuff.

Tap into a snifter showing dark coffee rims and center with sparse latte colored foam. The nose shows big notes of coffee roasted malts with good hints of molasses. The palate is light bodied and smoothly carbonated. Light lactose but very black coffee forward. Easily a beer that simulates a straight black coffee perfectly.

Taster at the brewery - dark brown, nearly black - medium body with a creamy texture - heavy flavor of the coffee used - sadly, they’ve extracted a heavy dose of the acidity from the coffee, as well, leaving a fairly abrasive finish, especially as the roast from the malt creeps in - eh.

A little disappointed here. Think this bottle was stored near fluorescent lites, as there’s a hint of skunk.

Coffee infused imperial stout that pours a cola brown with ruby highlights. Big rich milk coffee aroma that was mouthwatering. Medium to full bodied with a velvety mouthfeel. The taste in this is full on sugared black coffee. Tasty but not as complex as the real Imperial Baptist. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
