Shared 12 oz. can. Pours almost black with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Taste is roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, cacao, ash, vanilla notes. Good stuff.

Pour is a black with a average tan head. Aroma is a nice roasted coffee and a roasted nut I usually get in coffee beers. Flavor is a a big but very bitter coffee. After the swallow you get a more mello roasted coffee bean on the tongue. Not much of a roasted malt presence with this beer, they went all in with the coffee. Not a huge overpowering coffee as well but those first couple of sips are eye opening.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a medium sized creamy tan head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was bitter brewed coffee with a hint of vanilla. The flavor was bitter vanilla and bad cheap brewed coffee. Long finish of bad coffee. Medium body. Not good.

355ml can from Elizabeth Station. Pours an opaque almost black with a dark beige head. Aroma is roasted malt and cold coffee. Taste is coffee and some chocolate notes. Good stuff.

12 oz. can, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out lots of coffee and a touch of roasted malt. Flavour is monolithic in its dry roasted espresso quality. Bold and lovely to drink. Excellent simple impie coffee stout.

Nitro at Burnhearts. Dark brown, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, cherries. Medium bodied, low carbonation.

Bomber shared by Marcus. Pours dark brown black with a tan head. Aroma is sort of milk stout with chocolate and coffee. Med body or better. Flavor is milk stout with chocolate and coffee. It’s not totally dry, but it is somewhat bitter. Or more than somewhat. It’s not a typical IS. More intriguing than that.

Sample at the tap room in Denver. Brown-black color with a medium tan head that recedes steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Roast malt, chocolate and coffee aroma. Medium body with flavors of roasted malt, bittersweet chocolate and coffee. The finish is roasty with a chocolate malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Draft at the Epic Brewing Denver Taproom. Poured a pitch black color with a very small tan head. Aroma was espresso, dark chocolate, touch of bourbon, cocoa nibs. Flavor was rich dark chocolate, bitter coffee. Smooth and creamy. Very solid.
