Das „Starke“. Ein dunkles, unfiltriertes Starkbier, mit unergründlicher Seele. Sehr gehaltvoll. Nach Meinung unseres Braumeisters, das beste Bier überhaupt.

Hazy brown with medium white head. Aroma is citrus pips chestnut grass minimal roast and brown sugar. Taste is a bit sour citrus with medium caramel sweetness and medium roast bitterness. Medium body ok drinkable. Slight mealy finish. The combination of fresh sourness and doppelbock is rather meh for me.

(swing top bottle) Hazy, ruby brown colour with a tall but quickly collapsing tanned frothy head. Slightly dusty, toast-malty aroma with notes of caramel, chocolate and bread crusts. Moderately sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a prickly carbonation. Toast-malty base with notes of bread crusts, toasted grains, caramel and shades of herbal hoppy spice; moderately sweet and delicately hop bitter finish with bready notes and caramel in the aftertaste. Not as sophisticated as anticipated. 21.VIII.16

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel rötlichbraunes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, leicht schokoladig, Karamell, würzig.

Bottle from Vino Birra e Fantasia, Castelfidardo
Dark brown color with medium sized creamy head. Nice aroma of caramel, light malt, very light cereals, and a hint of bottom fermentation esters. Full bodied, with a smooth mouthfeel; caramel flavor, with moderate residual sweetness, and a deep nutty touch; correct bitterness.
Very good.
