Zwecks Haltbarkeit wurde es ungewöhnlich stark eingebraut. 1614 wurde der Braumeister Elias Pichler von Einbeck an das Hofbräuhaus abgeworben und braute fortan sein Ainpöckisch Bier. In der Münchner Mundart wurde daraus im Lauf der Zeit die Bezeichnung Bockbier. Prost!

Shared bottle with Werckmeister, many thanks. Murky orange golden color with medium white head. Aroma of malt, candies, wort, light spices. Taste is toasted malty with candies, honey, spices.

0,33l bottle at warm up to Austrian Beer Challenge. BB 02.04.2027. dark yellow murky color, small white head. smells caramel, earthy, spices, herbal, honey, flowery, peppery. Decent to nice smell. Full body, prickly carbonation. tastes malty, peppery, herbal, juniper, almost smoky. finishes lightly bitter with notes of tobacco, pepper and spices. But undecided about this. Not bad, carbonation is a bit aggressive, bit weird but also interesting flavor profile
