Can. Color: Hazy orange, very thin off-white head. Aroma: Hoppy, white grapes, stone fruit, hints of citrus. Taste: Hoppy, bit resinous. Complex fruity notes of overripe stone fruit, white grapes, orange, orange zest, pineapple and mango and light hints of strawberry. Some grape peel. Spicy hints. Moderate to over moderate bitterness and moderate to over moderate sweetness. Medium body, average carbonation. Lightly vinious and boozy. Light hints of rubber. Dry mouthfeel at finish. Unusual combination that works out pretty complex and pretty well.

Fluffy head, receding over orange-foxy beer, fully hazy. Cakebottom, kumquat, toast, caramel, resin, musk. Cakebottom, surprisingly sweet, oranges, mango, meatesters and again musk - which is no doubt the Sauternes. Quite slick, oily feel, medium to good carbonation, slight dry-out effect. In the end a very classical IIPA, quite likable. Most remarkable is the different effect barrels as Sauternes have on different beers - here musk, in others truffle. And, Kees, I'm much more happy when you make this kind of stuff, instead of inventing what other patisserie ingredients to stuff into an innocent stout.

0.33 l can from 'Ace Drinks', best before December 2025. Very hazy, orangeish amber with a thin, slightly fluffy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, rather fruity, quite dank, slightly vinous aroma of mango, papaya, white wine, light onions and a touch of marijuana. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, rather fruity, quite dank, slightly vinous taste of papaya, gooseberry, mango, onions, marijuana and some white wine, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, slightly vinous, moderately dry finish. Medium body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nicely vinous and relatively dry DIPA, the barrel really adds a lot to it. Another good BA DIPA from Kees!
