In this epic battle, the Blood of the Unicorn has been shed by the sword of the deadly assassin of the east. One sip of this aggressively hopped red ale clearly reveals what drives these, the greatest of, hop heads of lore. Is this the end of the mythical horned horse? Or will he rise like the phoenix to fight another day?

Reddish-amber with no head. The aroma is the basic toasty, caramelly amber, with a light leafy hop character. Moderate bitterness, light toastiness. Nice amber, but if this is top 50 that’s some reputation rating because really, this is just a normal amber.

500mL can, pours a cloudy dark amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out bready malt and light piney hops. Flavour is fairly bitter, with bready malt, a little caramel and light hops. Doesn't seem like a top 10 amber, but it's well made. Very good.

Purchased in can form at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home while watching the Cubs on a late August Sunday afternoon, feels great. Happy that this stuff is now in cans! Appearance is a dark red with a thin white head. Aroma is a fantastic hoppy malty concoction. Taste goes down very well, not too hoppy but definitely present, smooth, easy drinking, very good stuff.
