We brewed an old school barley wine - 100% maris otter and an extremely long boil. The end result is a monster with 18% alc. The beer was then aged for one year in peated single malt whiskey barrels from Islay. Bottled non carbonated in 0.5L cork bottles and aged for another year.
Now it is ready to enjoy it in these long winter nights. Lean back and let the spirits guide you.

Bottle @Last Højbjerg Tasting in Højbjerg. Nearly clear amber, no head. Peated aroma, some caramel, but really not much more than peat. Sweet flavour, peaty but not as OP as in the aroma. Boozy.

Bottle. Clear darker coppery-brown, tiny head, gone in seconds. Nice smoky-woody nose, with some bacon presence, slight malty nose in the back, mostly dry fruits. Moderate sweetness, though not too extensive, dry fruits and biscuits, slight honey. Medium gentle bitterness, but doesn't cover the sweetness. Warming, but not burning. Nicely drinkable for 18%. Smoked but not too sharp. Lovely sipper.
