A limited edition Pale Ale, released as a celebration of both 3 years of the brewery and the return of the bearded eagle (aka Zaganu, an extinct species) on the Romanian Land.
It's pale, with a long and pleasant bitterness and lots of citrusy and tropical notes.
Adonis - the bearded eagle- this one is for you!

Not their best effort. The bitterness is a bit more harsh than I’d like. However it is not astringent, just a bit overpowering. Romanian craft beer Bucharest

Bottle, 330 ml, courtesy of Miro. Shared with Max and JFK10000. Hazy orange, white head. Lots of caramel, some fruit, bit herbal, bitterish finish. Light to medium bodied.

On tap at Fabrica de Bere Buna, pours a clear copper with a medium white head. Aroma brings out floral hops, a little citrus and some good old diacetyl. Flavour is along the same lines, with bitter citrus hops, heaps of butter, and light floral notes. Can't get past the butter - this needs serious fixing.

Last summer at La 100 de Beri, Bucharest. Shared with lovely Anja. Hazy golden, small off-white head. Lacing. Light hoppy, fruity and grassy, no malts, light butter. Light malty balanced with dry hoppiness, not too much of either. Light body, soft to moderate carbonation, light balanced finish. Mostly fruity sweetness remains. Average.

BOTTLE 33 CL at home. Clear grayish-amber, small off-white head. Smell of stale malts, burnt cooking oil and fudge, possibly some hops but with a harsh moldy note. Taste: butterscotch/diacetyl - no proper malts, fruitiness of hops. Harsh aspirin-like bitterness. Low carbonation and oily mouthfeel. Pretty sub-par. 5-3-5-2-10=2,5/5.

TAP at Bucharest Beer Festival. Herbal nose, pretty brutal herbs. The taste is similar, cooking herbs, herbal spicy bitterness. How many times did I say herbs? 6-4-6-3-12=3,1/5.
