A Best Bitter, for you, for me and for us. Chevallier, Crystal, Munich, Amber Malt and Torrefied Wheat provide a fine crunchy biscuit and sweet marmalade base with a clear and rich amber hue. A blend of whole leaf Bullion, East Kent Goldings and UK Cascade allow for a strong bitter line to run through the whole drink and throw bouquets of earthy blackberry, honey and gentle floral pine aroma.

Can from a stop off ar Asda in Luton after an unpleasant Day. Good pour with a lasting head and a gorgeous colour in the glass. Not much at all on the nose. The taste is that of a best bitter with the volume turned down. Malt and bitter hops are all there, but just not enough. Perfectly made, but hollow. It's something I've noticed about these craft brewery bitters, no soul.....

Tap at Dynamo, courtesy of Gabor Gabor I think. Delivers the promises, hence the difficulty to go into lengths on such a straightforward style (nyilvan az sem segitett h a 10. oraban csuszott).

From tap at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam. Nicely malty with caramel, toasted malt, light toffee and bittering hop. Some earthy notes with distant tobacco. Medium bitter, light sweet with a fairly dry finish. Solid Bitter.

Cask at Cardinal, Stavanger, sample at "Mandag i Annen". Brown colour, moderate head. Aroma and flavour of toffee, blackcurrant leaves and earthy hops. Nice.

Notater fra nok en hyggelig samling på Mi2 Cardinal 16.10.23: Klar kobbergylden, kort skum. Mild maltaroma og god smak av kjeks, urter, skog og litt engelsk appelsinmarmelade. Slank, smaksrik og lettdrikkelig med utpreget mersmak. Medlemmene i panelet virket enige om at dette var en fin start på kvelden. Servert fra cask.

Canned (from Systembolaget Delfingatan Luleå). Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aromai s sweet malts, some floral and mild toffee tones. Flavour is fruity, some caramel, wooden tartness and mild nutty elements. A bit too much wooden tartish elements, otherwise really nice.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours hazy amber with off-white head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, herbs, notes of sulfur. Tastes slightly bitter with little sweetness; some acidity. Altogether very well balanced. Thin bodied.
