After three months and 37 different experiments, this stout has what we consider to be the perfect ratio of peanut butter, lactose and biscuit. A hit of roasted peanut on the nose, followed by a sweet Crunch as it goes down.

330ml Can – Pours a dark brown almost black colour with a medium sized beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate milk and peanuts. The taste is sweet, chocolate milk, scorched malt, caramel, and peanut butter flavours with an ashy bitterness in the finish. Body is a bit thin, decent carbonation and an interesting brew.

Keg at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Dark brown, almost black. Crreamy tan head leaving waves of lacing. Peanut brittle, butterscotch, milk chocolate, a touch of liquorice on the nose. Taste is lovely and sweet at first, with a hop bitterness coming in that little bit too soon and ushering in the short finish. Body is on the slight side, but it's got loads of character for a sessionable stout. Yum.

Can at PoW, Farnborough. Choc and nut aroma - reminds me of Ferrero Roche, with a boozey edge. Dark and glossy. Foamy beige head is on the limp side. Sweet and umami before a bitter finish. Not overly peanut buttery - more chic and nut. Mesium bodied. Creamy. Low key fizzy carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. Not quite the peanut butter stuffed stout I was expecting but still a decent Sweet Stout. And I like a Ferrero Roche.
