Can from Tidens Farver, Aarhus. Black with a lasting light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, lactose and heavy peanuts. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. 210918

Tap. Black color with beige head. Aroma is peanut butter, milk chocolate, lactose, very intense. Taste is peanut butter, chocolate, lactose, intense, but not too sweet or overdone. Oily mouthfeel, almost flat. Very good!

Can at Tap Room Cliftonville. Black beer dark brown lasting tan head Peanut chocolate aroma. Big sweet stout. Peanut in mouth no doubt. Some salt is inferred. A bit too much lactose for me. Big obvious. Just too milky for me.

Half at the Pelt Trader. Bought by my friend who proudly announced that he hates peanut butter! Then why did you get it??? Anyway, its not my most favourite thing so I approached the beer with some trepidation. A good deep, dark colour and a big nose of peanut butter. The taste was surprising, short peanut butter undercut with a strong bitterness that whizzed across the palate. As someone who was expecting an overly sweet disaster (Tiny Rebel Stay Puft, we're talking about you) this was a revelation. Good mouthfeel, but the richness meant that I was glad I only had the half. I'm still impressed with the taste and the balance between bitter and sweet. Very clever.

Keg at the London Brewers Market. Pours black-brown with a dense, creamy khaki head. Fun aroma, some chocolate, toasted peanuts, roast. Medium sweet flavour with notes of creamy chocolate, burnt butterscotch, scorched earth, mellow ash. Medium bodied, oily, with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with some offsetting ashy-earthy bitterness, more cocoa, peanuts. Fun stuff overall. Well executed.

Keg at the London Brewers market. A black coloured pour with a uniform mid tan head. Aroma is sweet earthy nutty peanut butter, coconut, bounty bar. Hazelnut praline on the nose as well. Flavour is composed of smooth milky chocolate malts, mild roast, peanut butter, coconut, coconut biscuit, descedated coconut. Palate is milky, smooth, nitro,. Creamy nice fun stuff.

Keg at BD Soho, 25/04/18. Black with a decent tan covering that retains well. Nose is chocolate peanut butter cookies, sweet malts, nutty, fresh pastry, caramel. Taste comprises chocolate biscuit, milk chocolate, peanut butter cups, mellow roast, peanut butter cookie dough. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. I often find PNB beers a let down but this was on point and well executed. Solid.

Cask at London Drinker Beer & Cider festival 2018, Kings X, London. A black coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Rich, roasty, malty, peanut aroma. Tastes rich, roasty, malty, chocolate, peanut. Peanut dominates this beer and it works very well indeed, not too sweet either. Very nice stout.
