Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark brn/blk with a slight, transient dark tan head. Aroma of bourbon, whiskey, chocolate and more. Not quite full bodied. Flavor is the aroma with a hint of anise and some wood. Drier than many. Moderately bitter. The flavor is complicated and very nice.

Pigs Ear. Bottle. Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts. Smooth and fairly sweet dark chocolate malts. Salty dark chocolate. Nice level of Cognac and a good salinity from the Aquavit. Smooth and semi dry finish. Rich and tasty and well barrelled.

Bottle #2581/7500. Black, looks thick, edge of light brown foam. Big smell of roast, wood, spirits. Creamy, rich body, with some subtle yet sharp carbonation, boozy. Taste is rich, decadent. Roasty fades into quite sweet, chocolate, then cognac and spice.
