Part of the MEPS series. An American Double India Pale Ale that packs a punch when it comes to hops. The aroma and flavors will give you citrus and pine with a slight malt sweetness that finishes dry.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Colin for another DIPA treat. Hazy gold beer, residual white head. Smooth softish palate with good fine carbonation. Light creamy malt supports crisp fresh orange hops. Lesser hop skunk. Finishes smooth with hop spice lingering on. I found this light.and easy going!

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to C-Money. Pours clear gold with a bubbly white head. The nose has some bready pale malts, ripe citrus, some rotting grapefruit. Medium sweet flavor with some alcohol boost, sticky pine, lightly toasted pale malts. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warm to hot finish with moderate hop resins, fusels, bitter grass, wood, orange rind. Really heavy.

Bottle thanks to Colin. It pours lightly hazy golden with a medium yellow-white head. The nose is piney, skunky, general citrus, sherbet, candied peel and pink lemonade. The taste is crisp, bitter, skunky, pine needles, resin, grapefruit, peppery, minerals, alcohol hit and wood with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Quite crisp and dry. Thankfully not sweet also. Solid.

Thanks Joe T for sharing! burnt orange. red hues ,no head. Nose is huge with pine cone. taste is malt forward, more malty that you’d expect for an IPA called "hoptologist" should be called "Maltopolist w/ hops" caramel and sugary sweet, very bitter, mostly pine resin.

Bottle - Skunky hops, grassy, orange, vegetative, piney, weird but good. Clear copper with a thin brown head. Orange, candy floss, sweet malts and a nice well balanced bitterness. Another great IPA from these guys. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
