A new beer for a New Year! We know many of you were sad when Pliny the Elder did not win the election in 2020 and faded off into the sunset. So we decided to revive the P4P recipe with a few modifications and created Double Dry-Hopped Pliny in a can for the first time ever! Don't worry, this will be the first of many tasty batches. DDH Pliny will be sticking around for a while! Cheers!

Can. Huge thanks to Uffe who bought this one in Santa Rosa a couple of weeks ago. (canned 01/14/25) Golden with a medium white head. Pine, grapefruit, stone fruit, notes of grass. Nicely bitter. Very drinkable for the ABV. My kind of DIPA, much better than all those hazy ones.

Poured from the tap. Clear blonde gold with small white head. Pine hops, light oiliness, clean, prefer original Pliny the elder, but still quite nice.

Taster shared with Ryan. Appearance: slightly hazy pale golden with a white head. Aroma: weird a bit dirty piney notes. Taste: dry, piney, full-bodied. Finishes with piney bitterness. Overall: ok, nothing spectacular IMHO.

Canned 7 Sep 23. Golden, clear body, with a big, creamy, white head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, stone fruits, mango, slight biscuit. Tastes similar, while extremely crisp, with a great dry character. Medium mouthfeel, with an average carbonation. Finishes perfect, dry, bitter, slightly sweet, zesty, with some mango and long-lasting pine notes. Exceptionally balanced stuff, extremely quaffable for the ABV! A beautiful pine spiciness throughout, with bright fruit notes and most of all a crisp, refreshing dryness. Definitely on par with the regular version, outstanding west coast style DIPA! Score: 8 / 4 / 9 / 5 / 17

Draft 12 oz pour at Special Brews. Clean and shiny golden appearance. Fun to try this take on the classic, although I'm not 100% confident I could pick them apart in a blind. Grassy and somewhat floral hoppy nose. Crisp front, cool grassy hops with a sturdy grain background. Bold palate. Flavorful with the slightest hint of a citrus peel like hop bitter. Layered hop notes here. Excellent of course.
