The first lager of the Project Elevate Series was named after a cloud formation observed over the brewery that reminded us of a triple slow pour from a Pilsner. Tower Cloud was brewed in September exclusively with the New Zealand hop Pacifica and lagered for an extensive amount of time before its release. Tower Cloud pours a bright and sparkling pale yellow. It is light bodied, sunny, zippy, and crisp. Flavors of mowing the lawn while eating saltless saltine crackers in a floral meadows lead into a collected finish and a pop of crispness. This is pils is crushable and our finest lager to date. It was a labor of love, we are proud of it, and predicts more good things to come for the lager part of our portfolio.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to lager glass.
Appearance: soft golden yellow color with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: soft floral hop tones with a slight freshly cut grass spice; light straw notes; then a light cracker malt backbone
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine cracker maltiness with a touch of earthiness; finishes floral, grassy spicy and a nice crackery maltiness with a little bit of dryness
Texture: light bodied, sessionable; good amount of smoothness with some expected dryness running along the tongue
Overall: nicely done as one of those New Zealand pilseners and I'd return to this in that respect.

Can from explosivedog: pours pale gold with a white head. Aroma is lemon, other mellow tree fruits. Taste is sort of bitter, some straw notes. Good pils.
