Draught at the brewery taproom. Cloudy, dark red to black colored. AROMA- strong coffee, roasted malts, earthy, pralines. FLAVOR- slightly sweet, slightly bitter, pralines, roasted, coffee, earthy. Fuller bodied. Very good.

17/IX/21 - 33cl bottle @ Nieuwjaarsreceptie Gentse Biervereniging, Hotel Columbo (Gent), BB: 26/II/23 (2021-1097)

Clear deep dark brown beer, small creamy irregular beige head, unstable. Aroma: lots and lots of coffee, malty, grains, some chocolate. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet, caramel, malty, bitter, lots of coffee. Aftertaste: sweet, very malty, grains, cow fodder, bit sugary, caramel, nice stuff.

Can via Hoppyness. Med-full body, moderate sweetness, assertive coffee presence, lots of boozy warmth too. Too much heat to go around here. Also the coffee has a spent coffee character. Light astringency present too. Overall kinda harsh, hard to drink, not really delicious.
